My Services - Therapy and Assessments

My Services — Therapy & Consultation

I offer therapy and consultation services both in person (Fort Collins, CO) and via telehealth for clients in Colorado, Washington, and participating PSYPACT states. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and focused on helping people live more fully—especially those managing chronic pain, injury recovery, or other long-term health conditions.

Core Areas of Focus

  • Chronic pain management, including neuroplastic pain recovery

  • Rehabilitation and recovery after injury

  • Adjustment to medical conditions or disability

  • Performance enhancement for athletes, climbers, and outdoor enthusiasts

  • Trauma, grief, and emotional adjustment after health changes

  • Compassion fatigue and resilience building for healthcare professionals

  • Mindfulness-based and values-oriented approaches to living well

Assessment/Evaluation

Our work typically begins with a psychosocial evaluation (about 60 minutes). We’ll review your medical and personal history, clarify your goals, and develop a plan that integrates your physical and emotional well-being. Before the first session, you’ll complete brief questionnaires to help tailor the process.

When appropriate, I coordinate with your other healthcare providers (e.g., physicians, physical therapists, pain specialists) to ensure your care is cohesive and well-supported.

Individual Therapy

I provide individual therapy using evidence-based and integrative approaches that help people build resilience, reduce pain-related distress, and reconnect with meaningful activity. Modalities include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT)
  • Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET)

Therapy can be brief (focused on specific goals) or more extended, depending on your needs. Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes and available via telehealth or in-person in Fort Collins, CO.

I provide therapy for adults located in Colorado, Washington, and other PSYPACT-participating states. I also provide Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy in-person in Fort Collins, CO.

Consultation for Physical Therapists & Healthcare Professionals

I offer consultation for physical therapists and other healthcare professionals interested in integrating psychological approaches into rehabilitation and pain care. These consultations may focus on:

  • Applying biopsychosocial frameworks in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation
  • Supporting patients with chronic or neuroplastic pain
  • Building communication strategies for difficult conversations (e.g., trauma, fear avoidance, or emotional distress)
  • Developing effective referral pathways for patients needing psychological support
  • Promoting resilience and reducing compassion fatigue within clinical teams

Consultations can be one-time, ongoing, or structured as educational workshops for clinics, professional groups, or continuing education settings. Contact me at info@drtrevordavis.com to discuss opportunities.

Workshops & Classes

I lead workshops for both the public and healthcare providers on topics such as:

For individuals:

  • Relaxation and mindfulness practices for chronic pain
  • Emotional awareness and self-regulation
  • Stress and sleep management without medication
  • Navigating grief, loss, and identity after injury or illness

For professionals:
